About Shannon & Press

Shannon Hunter is the owner and artist behind A Brush of Color, Vintage Finds and Furniture Redesigned.  Her Summerville storefront, previously located near Oscar's, is now right off Hutchinson Square nestled between Wine & Tapas and Lowcountry Olive Oil.  The quaint shop is filled with beautiful custom designed pieces and unique vintage treasures to fill your home, as well as high quality supplies to help you refashion your own heirlooms.

Shannon comes from a highly creatively skilled family tree, and has always loved working with her hands.  She discovered a passion for interior design and painting furniture while her husband was stationed in Germany in the early 2000s.  After living all over Mid Atlantic USA, as well as years spent overseas, she and her family have called the South Carolina Low Country their home for 4 years. In addition to creating beautiful custom pieces, Shannon is an accomplished muralist and book illustrator. She offers in home consultations and hosts monthly Paint Your Own Piece workshops. 

A Brush of Color is the Annie Sloan Chalk Paint® Stockist for the Charleston, SC area. We also carry Iron Orchid Designs™ furniture moldings, transfers and stamps. The store carries a variety of knobs, drawer pulls and special odds and ends for you to design and create your own pieces.  Our online shop is also happy to ship out whatever treasures you find, to your neck of the woods! 

New Maker Classes are always being added to our Calendar, including Paint your Own Piece, and seasonal classes such as Pumpkin Topiaries, Bits and Baubles for Christmas, and Painted Mason Jars.  Grab a friend and join us at one soon!
